Family Owned
SINCE 1988

Prewitt Woodworking began in 1988 when Richard Prewitt first started installing, sanding, and finishing gym floors for a sports flooring contractor. Some notable projects include: Pepperdine University, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the Los Angeles Forum, Ohio State University, The Southeast Asia Games (Manila, Philippines), as well as many others.

Rich Prewitt completed the Descol Training (Amsterdam), Walo training (Switzerland), Junckers training (Denmark), eight courses from the National Wood Flooring Association (St.Louis), including the expert courses and “certified inspector” training. He has operated as the hardwood flooring instructor for the Northwest Carpenters’ Union, and has completed a two year Master Furniture Certificate from the Northwest Woodworking Studio. In the fall of 2010, Rich was named Bona Kemi’s “certified professional” for the Pacific Northwest.

Rich noticed a lack of craftsmanship in the industry and became a master of the woodworking craft. He has since trained his sons and apprentices to also become master carpenters without compromise.
